Lithuanian ambassador to Armenia handed over humanitarian aid to the displaced families from Nagorno Karabakh
On February 11, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė and the Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin participated in the transferring of humanitarian aid, which took place in the premises of Children of Armenia Fund, NGO.
This action is part of Team Europe initiative, which aims at providing help to displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh who currently reside in Armavir, Lori, Shirak, Tavush and Aragatsotn regions. Thanks to this joint project by the EU delegation in Armenia and the Embassy of Lithuania in Armenia, 150 families will receive emergency aid packages consisting of food, hygiene items and winter clothes, 450 children will receive stationery and 150 displaced families will receive psycho-social support, health care services and speech therapy.
The Embassy of Lithuania to Armenia contributed to the initiative, providing school stationary for 70 families, as well as 35 tablets to facilitate distance learning.
The project is implemented by Children of Armenia Fund, NGO.
