Project applications approved for Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme
On January 31, Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting to examine project concepts and applications presented for funding in 2018 in the framework of the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme.
A total of 30 concepts and 127 applications were received, for which more than 6 million euros funding was requested. Especially large number of applications has been received for development cooperation projects with Ukraine and Georgia in the field of regional development.
The Commission approved 7 concepts and invited their providers to prepare project applications. The Commission approved or approved with reservations 29 project applications for development cooperation with Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, the EU Eastern Partnership region and countries of migration origin and transit as well as project applications in the area of public information. The total amount allocated for implementation of the projects under the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme in 2018 is 723,500 euros.
